HOST® Dry Extraction Cleaner

HOST® Dry Extraction Cleaner contains a balanced blend of water and green cleaning chemistry with reduced VOCs. As the low moisture HOST cleaner is brushed through the carpet, the micro-sponges deep-clean-extract by dissolving, trapping and removing spots, spills, sticky water soluble soil and greasy oily dirt. HOST cleaner holds and controls the cleaning liquids, so dissolved dirt doesn’t run into the carpet backing or grout/textured floor indents. After vacuuming up the HOST cleaner, flooring is clean, dry and back in service. HOST is natural, non-toxic, biodegradable and safer for people and pets.

THE TECHNOLOGY

The HOST ExtractorVAC (eVAC) technology combines 130 CFM of suction power between two counter-rotating, 5" brushes with a cyclonic separator and filter system to create a power pile lifter vacuum that extracts the dirt and debris that others leave behind.

How effective is the HOST system?

The HOST System of applying HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner to the carpet, brushing it through the carpet and then Vacuuming up the HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner removes dirt and reduces allergens. Research studies have shown that one cleaning with the HOST System using HOST Machine reduces: dust mites by 78%, dust mite allergen by 75%, cat allergen by 85%, mold spores by 85%. Even more recent tests with the HOST Liberator and Freestyle machines show improved allergen extraction: dust mite allergen by 89% and mold spores by 97%.

Is HOST safe to use on wool carpets?

Yes! We actually specialize in wool, cotton & Persian area carpets. HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner is WoolSafe Approved which means that the product is effective, has low re-soiling characteristics, is low in alkalinity, has no bleaching agents, no optical brighteners, is nonflammable, nonhazardous, environmentally responsible and has clear and concise use directions.

Is HOST environmentally friendly and safe?

Absolutely! HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner is Green Seal Certified. It meets the Green Seal environmental standard for industrial and institutional cleaners based on its reduced human and environmental toxicity and reduced volatile organic compound content. HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner requires no special disposal and can be composted. And, HOST is the first dry carpet cleaner to receive USDA BioPreferred certification via ASTM test method D6866-05.

Is HOST safe for human health?

Yes! HOST contains no dyes, contains no heavy metals, does not become airborne and has low VOC's. HOST is not an eye irritant nor a primary skin irritant and is nontoxic by oral ingestion or by inhalation. HOST is not a WHIMIS Control Product. Unlike wet cleaning methods, HOST does not leave carpets wet with dirty wastewater that can lead to mold and cause health problems. In fact, HOST helps remove mold from carpets. Water extractors generate large amounts of wastewater which burdens sewers and water treatment facilities. Also, water left in the carpet evaporates humidifying buildings and forcing air conditioners and dehumidifiers to run harder and longer. HOST helps to lower energy needs since no water is used, so blowers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers are not needed.

How much water does HOST use?

Use of in-house or municipal water is ZERO. You save 100% of what water a wet cleaning system requires. The water necessary for carpet cleaning, already in HOST, amounts to less than one teaspoon per square foot cleaned.

Does HOST use a lot of energy?

Water usage drives the amount of energy used in carpet cleaning.​​ Using HOST, there is NO water to heat, NO need to use blowers to dry carpet, and NO need to run dehumidifiers and air conditioners to remove moisture from the carpet and air.
